The Princeville Hotel got the nod for superb meeting facilities, combined with the breathtaking beauty of Hanalei Bay and other ocean views, and vistas of mountainous areas of the interior of Kaua’i, available from various vantage points around the hotel.
A wide spectrum of audio-visual aids available at the hotel help provide a natural venue for conventions, incentive groups and corporate conferences. The hotel has its own small cinema as well.
The Grand Ballroom accommodates banquets of up to 500 people in 6,600 square feet, while the adjacent 2,800-square-foot Bay Terrace offers spectacular vistas for receptions or additional gathering space.
The ballroom can be divided into four sections, and five conference rooms offer an additional 3,100 square feet for more intimate gatherings.
The hotel was honored by the magazine for its service, attention to meeting planners’ needs, and in its excellent execution of and operations during meeting functions at the property, explained David Uchiyama, regional director of communications for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Hawai’i.
The other Starwood winners are the Sheraton Waikiki and neighboring Royal Hawaiian on O’ahu, and The Orchid at Mauna Lani on the Big Island.
The winning hotels will be featured in the August issue of Successful Meetings magazine.
Starwood also manages the Sheraton Kaua’i Resort on Po’ipu Beach, part of Starwood’s Sheraton brand. The Princeville Resort is part of Starwood’s The Luxury Collection.
Starwood (NYSE: HOT) is one of the leading hotel and leisure companies in the world, with more than 725 properties in 80 countries and 120,000 employees at its owned and managed properties.
