Sebastian “Saba Kachi Kachi King” Torres, Jr. of Kalaheo, Kaua’i, died Sept. 11, 2001, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 72.
A supervisor for the sugar industry with McBryde Sugar, he was born Jan. 12, 1929, in Lawai, Kaua’i.
He is survived by two brothers: Daldo Torres of Numila and Johnny (Frances) Torres of Lawai; two sisters: Emily (Jody) Dela Torre of Kekaha and Marie (Ernest) Coyaso of Omao; Cory & Elise Silva and daughter Coryssa; cousin: Arthur (Beatrice) Camacho, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo from 8:30 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at the Catholic Church cemetery in Kalaheo. Services to be celebrated by Father Keahi.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
