Even though they are short a few shooters due to pre-season paperwork lapses, they continue to roll through their season with success.
Their latest victim was island school Kula, who were swept by both girl’s and boy’s teams, 1,062-980 (boys) and 1,021-916 (girls).
For the Menehune boy’s team, Kori Sakahashi led the way with 233 total points. He worked the prone position the best, scoring an 85, but his success was based more on his overall stats.
Mark Medina also booste the Menehune’s with 227; Randall Ramos followed with 220; John Mission had 199; and Ritchael Cariaga recorded 183.
For the Island School, Jomari Mori led the way with 205; Drew Goldsman recorded a 202; Mario Rosa had 197; and Leif Nielson scored 195.
For Waimea’s girl’s squad, Ashley Canon overwhelmed the Island School by scoring an impressive 236. She nearly perfected the prone with a 92, faired well in the kneeling with a 75 and led both teams in the standing position with a 69.
Other Menehunes that bolstered the big win were Dorothy Silva and Kenani Kim, who equaled their totals with 201; Rachelle Pascual scored 194; and Jonelle Renti Cruz recorded 189.
For the Island School girls, Jeni Guerber scored 207; Alicia Riddick had 200; Kasey Alcott recorded 186; Michelle Roasa put up 172; and Chelsea Becker scored a 151.
Other shooters that posted good performances wereJohn Tagavilla (179), Harold Bumagat (129), Dustin Fontanilla (179), Megan Mukai (186), Sasha Figueira (155) and Cieralyne Sherman (167).
