First Hawaiian Bank Kaua’i managers Mike Murakoshi, Brian Yamase and Leland Kahawai recently returned from the Chairman’s Council retreat at Deer Valley, Utah.
Murakoshi is senior vice president and Kaua’i region manager, Yamase is Kaua’i southwest area manager, and Kahawai is Kaua’i northeast area manager.
They were named members of the 2001 Chairman’s Council by Walter Dods, First Hawaiian Bank’s chairman and chief executive officer.
Several other First Hawaiian Bank Kaua’i employees were recently honored as top performers based on 2001 results.
“Last year was a remarkable one for First Hawaiian Bank, especially here on Kaua’i, thanks in part to the phenomenal work of all our winners,” Murakoshi said.
Named to the 2001 President’s Club by Jack Tsui, First Hawaiian Bank president, were Joyce Vidinha, Lihu’e sales manager; Tom Canute, Koloa personal banker; and Yu-Sie Page, Kapa’a service manager.
Tsui hosted those winners at the Sheraton Maui.
Top customer service representatives were Leane Aguinaldo-Medeiros for the Kaua’i region, Paula Valles for the northeast area, and Sybil Blackstad for the southwest area.
Top tellers were Rachel Kishida for the region, Ann Horner for the northeast area, and Ella Horita for the southwest area.
Vidinha for the region, Canute for the southwest area and Dave Goller for the northeast area received awards for being top personal bankers.
Murakoshi said the Princeville, Koloa and Waimea branches successfully met the bank’s performance targets to qualify for branch bonuses during each of the four quarters of 2001.
The bank has seven branches on Kaua’i, from Waimea to Princeville.
