The Lihue T-Maxx, the Kapa’a Warriors and the Westside Hornets won in Wednesday’s three-game 12-Under KYBA series at Kalaheo NC Gymnasium. In the first game, the T-Maxx topped Lihue 51-42 on 13 John Ruaboro points. Kainoa Lemke scored 13 points
The Lihue T-Maxx, the Kapa’a Warriors and the Westside Hornets won in Wednesday’s three-game 12-Under KYBA series at Kalaheo NC Gymnasium.
In the first game, the T-Maxx topped Lihue 51-42 on 13 John Ruaboro points.
Kainoa Lemke scored 13 points for Lihue.
The Warriors beat the Kalaheo Pistons 34-29 in game two. Devin Saiki and Jason Poe-Hooikaika each scored eight points for the Warriors.
Keelan Sakuda led the Pistons with nine points.
In the third game, Braxton Garma scored 19 points to help the Westside Hornets edge the Lihue Alii 44-34.
Pono Perez scored 10 points for the Alii.
The Lihue and 1, the Kalaheo Pistons and the Lihue Magic each took home victories in a compilation of 10-under and Boys 14-under games at Kalaheo NC Gymnasium on Tuesday.
Jordan Tottori scored 14 points to lead the Lihue And 1 to a 30-22 win over the Lihue Comets in the first game, a 10-under match-up.
Jondi Das and Jodi Das combined for 12 points for the Comets.
The second two games were both Boys 14-under contests.
Futi Tavana’s team leading 23 points were enough to help the Kalaheo Pistons top the Westside Hornets 34-28.
Chad Barba notched eight points for the Hornets.
In the final game of the evening, Kaleo Perez scored 10 points to lead the Lihue Magic to a 35-20 win over Lihue.
Tim Kanehe had 10 points for Lihue.
Games played at Kalaheo on Thursday, June 20:
The Kaumakani Supersonics 10-under team beat the Westside Hornets 23-11 with the help of Joanna Andres’ and Britnelyn Palacio’s combined 12 points of production.
Breean Cox-Abuan scored four points for the Hornets.
In Boys 17-under play, Waimea topped the Lihue Shadows 76-16.
Waimea’s Allan Manuel, Josh Vinzant and Kevin Castillo each scored 12 points in the win; Michael Garcia and Brandon Ballesteros had five points apiece for the Shadows.
Also in Boys 17’s, Futi Tavana scored 29 points to lead the Globetrotters to a 56-55 win over HB.
Lionel Tomacder scored 26 points for HB.
