The Major Division season for Kawaihau Community Little League ended this week, with the Mets winning the Division championship.
– The Astros and Dodgers began the week, with the Dodgers winning 13-3.
Alan Kahaunaele was the winning pitcher for the Dodgers, picking up three strikeouts. Vaughn Nebre was starting pitcher for the Astros, with Christian Wood, Stevie Lutz and Devin Swanson coming on in relief.
William Valente Gonsalves hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the third to ace the win for the Dodgers.
– The Dodgers played the Diamondbacks in the second game of the week with the Dodgers winning 16-2.
Ace Viceo and Dante Bisson were the pitchers for the Diamondbacks while William Valente-Gonsalves, Matt Ornellas, Jr. and Grayson Gonsalves had their pitching debuts for the Dodgers.
– In the third game of the week, the Yankees hosted the Astros, with the Astros picking up the win 5-1.
Jacob Planas went the distance for the Yankees, striking out 10 batters in six innings of play.
Tyler Hadley was the winning pitcher for the Astros, striking out six batters.

CJ Maglinti was winning pitcher for the Dodgers with eight strikeouts in six innings.
Making their first pitching appearance for the Mets were Trevor Esera, Randall Jacinto and Maegan Pablo. Chandler Jacinto came on in relief.
– In the first game of the season’s closeouts, the Yankees picked up a win over the Diamondbacks, 16-3.
Everett Awong was starting pitcher for the Diamondbacks with Justin Kanoho and Kenny Fejeder coming on in relief.
Pitching for the Yankees were Kilika Dettloff, Aaron Villatora and Micah Rapozo.
Diamondback Ace Viceo hit his third home run of the season in the bottom of the second inning.
– Closing out the season, the Mets won out over the Astros, 10-0.
James Noone, Travis Shigeta and Harry Noone were the pitchers of record for the Mets while Chris Sandobal and Stephanie Kawamura pitched for the Astros.
Harry Noone hit a three-run home run in the top of the third.
