OAHU – Kauaians Rachel Kyono and Lehua Wise will play for the Hawaii State Women’s Golf Association Stroke Play Championship, which will be held at Mid-Pacific Country Club from August 6-8.
Kyono, the 19-year old from Lawai, has been credited as a 2002 HSWGA Match-Play Championship- Semi-Finalist; a 2001 HSWGA Stroke Play Championship- Runner Up; a 2001 HHSAA Champion a 2001 Nissan Hall of Honor Inductee and a 2000 HSWGA Stroke Play Champion.
Wise is the 2001 Kauai Junior Golf Girls 15-18 Player of the year, the 2001 KIF Girls player of the year, a 2001 Women’s Public Links Qualifier in Kemper Lakes, IL, and 2000 member of the girls America’s cup Hawaii team, among other achievements.
