POIPU, KAUAI, HAWAII – Poipu Bay Golf Course, located on Kauai’s south shore, now offers a one-hour golf lesson featuring video analysis of the golfer’s swing.
The state-of-the-art system records the entire 60-minute session, including audio instruction and computer graphics to aid in the learning process.
The student is presented with the video tape at the end of the session for review and follow up at home.
“A picture paints a thousand words,” says Poipu Bay’s Head Pro, Michael Castillo. “The video lets golfers actually see their swing—something they can’t do on the course. And the analysis process helps them clearly identify problems and make adjustments in their swing for an improved game.”
The video system allows the golfer’s swing to be analyzed from both front and side angles, and images of the swing can be saved to compare to future video instruction sessions, so students can see their progress.
In addition to the video tape, still images from the video can be printed onto a laser printer. Cost for the video analysis lesson is $120 for an hour.
