LIHUE – All flight winners received a set of irons at the 26th Annual Hawaiian Men’s Invitational Golf Tournament held Saturday and Sunday on the Kiele and Mokihana Courses at Kaua’i Lagoons Resort.
This included over-all low gross Aaron Chun, who amassed a 134, and Gino Kaupiko, who notched the over-all low net of 130.
The “A Flight” was won by Bob Gallagher, whose 133 was good enough for a set of irons. Joe Kauanui was second with a 134; Brandon Hashimoto took third with a 136; Gregory Ng was fourth with a 137; and George Costa fifth with a 138.
Noel Cunanan won the “B Flight” with a 132. Mel Silva was second with a 131; Willie Hidalgo and Sonny Miller were third with a 135.
In the “C Flight,” Joe Rasch scored a set of irons with a 136. Alika Deshe was second with a 137; Ed Awong third with a 138.
The “Guest Flight” was won by Clayton Haumea, who shot a 127. Randy Hashimoto was second with a 129; Bryson Hashimoto third with a 131.
In the “Women’s Flight,” Verna Kawaihalau took first with a 142; Regina Ventura had a 143; Lee Madison and Keala Seakus each shot a 144; and Dorothy Helfer finished with a 145.
