HANAPEPE – The Garden Island Baseball Classic will begin Friday, August 2nd, at the Hanapepe Baseball Stadium.
There will be a coaches meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Salt Pond Beach Park Main Pavilion to discuss details surrounding the upcoming tourney.
On the first day, starting at 9 a.m., the Bulldogs will face Waimea. At 11 a.m., the Renegades will face Lihue; at 1 p.m., the Wildcats will face Hanapepe; and at 3 p.m. the Bulldogs will face the Renegades.
On Saturday, at 9 a.m., the Wildcats will face Waimea; at 11 a.m., Hanapepe will meet the Renegades; at 1 p.m., the Bulldogs will meet the Wildcats; and Lihue will face the Bulldogs at 3 p.m.
On Sunday, at 9 a.m., Lihue will meet the Wildcats; at 11 a.m., the Bulldogs will face Hanapepe; at 1 p.m. Waimea will meet the Renegades, and the Renegades will again play at 3 p.m. against the Wildcats.
All of the games will be seven innings long. There will be a coin flip to determine the home team. There will be a 10-run TKO rule at the end of five complete innings. Time limit per game is one hour, 45 minutes.
