Nishimoto moved to Kaua’i from O’ahu 51 years ago, three days after he was born. He lived first in Ha’ena, then Wainiha.
He went off-island for schooling, then returned to Hanalei, and finally to Wainiha, for good. Except for schooling on O’ahu at the Kamehameha School for Boys and University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, the North Shore of Kaua’i has always been his home.
With an extensive sales background, including insurance (property, casualty, life) in the late ’80s, as a travel agent since the ’90s, and, most recently, as a cruise and tour specialist commencing in 2000, Nishimoto has certain skills his supervisors feel will serve him well in real-estate sales.
After buying an investment home in the late ’70s using the services of a real estate agent, he has been involved in many real estate transactions as both buyer and seller.
Today, he is guardian of 13 acres of family lands in Wainiha Valley. “I am blessed to be living on the most beautiful of all the islands,” he said.
