Clara Ellis
Clara P. “Mary” (Hanohano) Ellis of Honolulu, died at Castle Medical Center on Dec. 25, 2002, at the age of 76.
Born in Haena, Kauai on May 6, 1926, she was a graduate of McKinley High School, and a retiree of Queen’s Hospital, and a member of the Kapuna Ohana.
She is survived by four sons: Agenhart “Kamealoha” (Dorie) Ellis, Daniel “Poki” (Hazel) Ellis, Raynard (Janice) Ellis, Gilbert “Kala” (Penny) Ellis; two daughters: Mrs Eldon (Kehau) Kohatsu, Mrs. Harry (Noe) Donato; two sisters: Mrs. Nancy Piilani and Mrs. Winona Watanabe; 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Jan. 11, at the Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery, Kane’ohe from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at 1 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.
Margaret Braun
Margaret Bastina Braun of Honolulu, formerly of Kapaa, Kauai, died at Maluhia Long Term Care, on Dec. 23, 2002 at the age of 95.
Born on June 7, 1907, in Waianae, she was a member of Kapa’a Missionary Church for many years.
She is survived by her daughter: Pegi L. Braun; grandchildren: Jennifer Ching and Jeffrey Heaukulani; great-grandchildren: Malia & Jessie Avila, Michaela Tapia.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Jan. 11, 10 a.m. at Kapaa Missionary Church. Services to begin at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihue Cemetery at 1 p.m. Aloha attire is suggested.

Beatrice Santos
Beatrice Santos of Lawai, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Jan. 3, 2003 at the age of 71.
Born in Hanapepe, Kauai on March 24, 1931, she was a Housewife, Volunteer with Salvation Army and also worked at the Lawai Pine Cannery.
She is survived by husband, Manuel L. Santos; five sons, Manuel Jr. of Kapaa, John of Lawai, Kenneth of Kalaheo, Bobby of Kapaa and Clyde of Kapaa; six daughters, Beatrice (Allen) Shimizu of Eleele, Edna (Richard) Santos of Koloa, Betty (Christopher) Paden of Gardena, CA., Barbara (Albert) Silva of Kaumakani, Darlene (Bernard) Butay of Hilo and Ethel (Roland) Balisacan of Eleele; two brothers, Clarence Pauole of Honolulu and William Pauole; three sisters, Elizabeth (Sunwah) Lee of Hilo; Miriam (Shige) Sasaki of Koloa and Dora (Boris) Camarillo of Lihue, 58 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family at 10 a.m. on Sat. Jan. 11, at the Poipu Beach Park-Pavilion # 2; service officiated by Rev. Kekapa Lee will begin at 12 noon. Casual attire is suggested.
