Blas Gali, Sr.
Blas Gali, Sr. of Kapaa, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Jan. 8, 2003 at the age of 84.
Born in Dingras Ilocos Norte, PI on Feb. 3, 1918, he was a Irrigator with Lihue Plantation Co.
He is survived by his wife, Marina; two sons, Blas Jr., of Okinawa and Anthony (Jennifer) of Hanama’ulu; daughter, Maribel (Aaron Tokuda) Gali of Hanama’ulu; brother, Marceliano (Sely) Gali of Honolulu; two sisters, Perpetua Gali and Ucedia Lara both of Philippines and 2 grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Jan. 23, from 6-9 p.m. at the Garden Island Mortuary. And again on Friday, Jan. 24, 9 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; mass officiated by Father Paul will begin at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Tomi Kaneshiro
Tomi Kaneshiro of Koloa, Kauai, died at Wilcox Mememorial Hospital on Jan. 12, 2003 at the age of 86.
Born in Koloa, Kauai on July 2, 1916, she was a Kamehameha School Missionary-House mom.
She is survived by seven brothers, Sei Harvey Kaneshiro of Waipahu, Oahu, Seiso (Helen) Kaneshiro of Pearl City, Oahu, Satoshi “Sugar” (Dorothy) Kaneshiro of Koloa, Kauai, Mamoru (Joen) Kaneshiro of Koloa, Kauai, Susumu (Elaine) Kaneshiro of Aiea, Oahu, Danny Kaneshiro of Las Vegas, NV. And James (Esther) Kaneshiro of Kaneohe, Oahu; sister, Yoneko (Larry) Gushiken of Waipahu, Oahu; sister-in-law, Sueko Kaneshiro of Bellevue, WA.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 2 p.m. on Sun. Jan. 19, at the Koloa Missionary Church; service officiated by Pastor Niles Kageyama will begin at 3 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Allen ‘Moose’ Lopez
Allen “Moose” Lopez, formerly of Kealia, Kaua’i, died in Santa Rosa, Calif. on Jan. 10, 2003, at the age of 51.
Allen worked with Tanaka Plumbing and later became a self-employed plumber.
He is survived by his parents, Helena (Contrado) Dabin Acierto, Frederico (Chris) Lopez, daughter Elizabeth “Kapeka” Lopez, son Kailani Lopez, stepdaughter Maya Sullivan, five brothers: Ali (Nadine) Birtodaso, Garrick Lopez, Ronald (Jeanette) Lopez, Joe (Lihue) Lopez, Edmund “Eddie” Acierto; four sisters: Kathlyn Christian of Seattle, Wash., Melissa (Joe) Caranno, Esther (Raynard) Machado, and Bernadette (Shilo) Pa; stepbrothers: Timmy Laranio (Anna), Wayne Laranio (Leilani); stepsisters: April Rellin, Martha (Dennis) Kaminski, Delores (Bill) Barry, Annie Rellin, Sheila (Ralph) Schmarge, Carmela Cabacungan, and Novella Laranio; 29 nieces and nephews, 14 grand nephews and nieces, and one great grand nephew.
