Thomas Silva, Sr. of Hanapepe, died on Feb. 5, 2003, at UCLA Medical Center at the age of 67.
A construction heavy equipment operator, he was born on Aug. 6, 1935.
He is survived by his daughter: Brenda (Mark) Morando of Lawa’i, sons: Thomas (Stephine) Silva, Jr. of Hanapepe, Antonia Elmendro Silva of Honolulu, Edward Robert Silva of Alaska, and John timothy Silva of Hawai’i.
Also surviving are sisters: Helen S. Obrero of Puhi and Loretta Silva (William) Krueger of Puhi.
There are five grandchildren. There are numerous aunties, uncles, nieces and cousins.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Old Koloa Church at 12:30 p.m.
The family requests Aloha attire and that flowers be omitted.

Gloria Rapozo of Kapa’a, died on Feb. 12, 2003, at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home in ‘Oma’o, at the age of 89.
Born in Honolulu, she was a pantry helper for Kauai Surf Hotel.
She is survived by three sons: Neil (Mildred) Rapozo of Hanama’ulu, Raymond (Maureen) Rapozo of Lihu’e, Thomas (Linda) Rapozo of Washington; two daughters: Grace (Clesson) Ching of Kapa’a, Marie (Ronald) Victorino of Wailua; one brother: Frank Sa of Hanama’ulu; 19 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Immaculate Conception Church from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Keahi. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
