Sergia Cabatan
Sergia Cabatan of Puhi, died March 12, 2003, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 62, after battling breast cancer.
A homemaker, she was born Oct. 7, 1940, in the Philippines.
She is survived by one daughter: Emelda Cabatan of Puhi; one son: Nestor Cabatan of Puhi; three sisters: Rosita Bolosan of the Philippines, Flora Adaoag of Puhi, and Lorenza Bolosan of Honolulu; three brothers: Juan Cadiz of Puhi, Menancio Cadiz of Puhi, and Tony Cadiz of Honolulu; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, March 21, at Borthwick/Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, March 22, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa, where services will be conducted. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Yoshio Kinoshita
Yoshio Kinoshita of Lihu’e, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 12, 2003 at the age of 70.
Born in Huleia on Aug. 29, 1932, he was a retired park caretaker with the State of Hawai’i Parks and Recreation.
He is survived by wife, Angela of Hanama’ulu; brother, Kiyoto (Eunice) Kinoshita of Lihu’e; six sisters, Matsue Anama of Honolulu, Sunao Pescador of Kapa’a, Misao Ringor of Lihu’e, Tomie (Alika) Kelekoma of Puhi, Fujiko Yamamoto of Hanama’ulu and Katherine Oyama of ‘Ele’ele; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 22, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Rev. Yukiko Motoyoshi will begin at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Kauai Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Rosalie Makishima
Rosalie Makishima of ‘Ele’ele, died at Kaua’i Veteran’s Memorial Hospital on March 15, 2003, at the age of 52.
A room attendant at the Hyatt Regency Kaua’i Hotel, she was born in the Philippines on June 19, 1950.
She is survived by her husband: Albert Makishima of ‘Ele’ele, mother: Regina Parnoncillon, sisters: Dory Reason, Lucy Soluta and Elsa Dura all of the Philippines and Sister Viviana, O.P., from Honolulu.
Also surviving are stepsons: Aaron Makishima and Mason Makishima of Honolulu, and brothers: Francisco Parnoncillon and Fernando Parnoncillon both of the Philippines.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, March 18, from 6-9 p.m. at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary with service at 8 p.m. Services will be Saturday, March 29, 9 to 11 visitation, 11 Mass. burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Church is still pending. Casual attire is suggested.

Patricio Licayan, Sr.
Patricio Licayan, Sr. of Kekaha died March 15, 2003, at Kaua’i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 78.
A veteran, he is survived by his wife: Emalia Licayan of Kekaha; two sons: Patricio Licayan, Jr. and Samuel Licayan, both of Kekaha, hanai son, Joseph Licayan of Kekaha; and three grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, March 20, at Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Friday, March 21, at Waimea Hawaiian Church from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Kaua’i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
