Millicent “Millie” Margaret Robison-Crown of Kalaheo, died on May 7, 2003 at the age of 53.
Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 4, 1949, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband: Ron Crown of Kalaheo; daughter, LeAnn (Charles) Godsey Keefer of Zirconia, NC; son, John Cornell of Limon, CO; six grandchildren, River, Piper, Archer and Nicholas Keefer, Alex and Marie Cornell; sister, Margo Nickerson of Corpus Christi, TX.
Services will be held in Pittsburg, Pa. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Nicolas Acain
Nicolas P. Acain Sr. of Hanama’ulu, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 8, 2003, at the age of 92.
Born in the Philippines, on Sept. 10, 1910, he was a retired truck driver for Lihu’e Plantation and also worked at Smith’s Tropical Paradise.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Acain of Hanama’ulu; three sons: Rudy Acain of Wahiawa, Nicolas Acain Jr., of Kapa’a, Michael Acain of California; four daughters, Ilona (Dwight) Robinson of North Carolina, Elena (Kenneth) Gongob of Wahiawa, Josephine Acain-Sanchez of Puhi and Marilyn (Gavin) Peralta of Puhi. One brother and four sisters of the Philippines, 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 15, at Immaculate Conception Church from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Paul. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Steven Kuzen
Steve died doing one of the things he loved most…surfing. He moved to Hawai’i in 1970. He was a professional painter, so he could work when he wanted and surf when he wanted. On Thursday, May 8, he passed away while surfing Waiohai. Please join his family for a Celebration of Life potluck on Wednesday, May 14, at Salt Pond Park, from 4-6 p.m. Aloha attire is suggested. Flowers omitted.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Henry (Huck) Kuzen, and is survived by sons, Eric (Nalu) Walleen and Jake Kuzen of Kaua’i; daughter, Anela Houston United States Air Force, Kunsan AFB, Korea); mother, Joann Vincent of Hilo; brothers and sister, David, Dana (Hap), Christopher, and Lorraine Kuzen. Steve, we love you and will miss you.
