Charles P. Bernard of Kapaa, died on May 20, 2003, at the age of 96.
Born in Honolulu on April 8, 1907, he retired from Oahu Plumbing as a Sheet Metal Craftsman. Remembered as a member of the famed Thundering Herd of Kalihi, and as a noted Lobster Fisherman.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Ramona Andrade and son Charles P. Bernard Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Marlene “Winkie” (David) Helela of Kapaa; caregiver, Trini Villabrille, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 7, at Diamond Head Mortuary followed by a service at noon. Burial to follow at Diamond Head Memorial Park at 12:45 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.
