Leonard Bailey Herbert passed away with friends at his side on May 3, 2003 at the age of 99. Born in San Bernardino, CA on December 10, 1903.
A memorial and celebration of life will be held on May 12, between 5 and 7 p.m. at the King and I Thai Restaurant, his favorite dining place.
Hanako Shinagawa
Hanako Shinagawa of Koloa, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, on April 25, 2003 at the age of 92.
Born in Koloa on November 10, 1910 , she was a factory worker for Pine Co.
He is survived by his son, Edwin (Betsy) Shinagawa of Lawa’i; three daughters, Amy (Harold) Naumu Sr., of Lihu’e, Joan (Don) Masui of California, Ann (Eugene) Murata of California; sister-in-law, Shizue Nakata of Koloa; 6 grand-daughters, 5 grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters, 5 great-grandsons, numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services were held.
Arrangements were handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Myra Worrell
Myra “Leilani” Worrell died April 27, 2003, at Straub Hospital at the age of 59.
She was born July 18, 1943, on Molokai.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ralph “Gala” Worrell Sr., she is survived by children, Kathryn (Anthony) Rodrigues; Louise Rivera, Ralph (Teresa) Worrell, Paddy(Aileen) Ramson, Alexandria (Timothy) Duffy, Ralphine (Steve) Leger, 18 grandchildren, one great grandchild; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on May 10, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. followed by service 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Hanapepe Veterans Cemetery. A memorial gathering following the burial will be at the Koloa Residential Park.
Flowers will be accepted at the burial site. Casual attire is suggested. For more information, call Ralph Worrell at 822-2683. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Christin Walsh
Christin Walsh of Kilauea, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 4, 2003 at the age of 88.
Born in California on November 5, 1914, she was a housekeeper.
She is survived by her daughter, Merrilyn Brunswick of Kilauea and son, Robert Walsh of Florida, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family for a grave side service on Thursday, May 8, at Kauai Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.
