You couldn’t ask for a better summer than the one Kauai has been having lately, and you couldnt ask for better racing at Wailua motocross track.
On Sunday, the members of KMRA geared up for the last installment of racing before they ship off to Oahu for the state motocross competition. So this race was their last chance to train for the races that will take place during July 4-6.
The day began with a freshly groomed track thanks to the people who volunteered their time to put on the race, and then it was time for the minis to hit the track.
The minis were separated into three classes because it seem that more keikis have been racing lately. Then the day moved to the big track for the big bikes.
The beginners, novices, amateurs, and experts all felt that they had something to prove because everyone raced like there was no tomorrow. And rightly so, this weekend also marked the last time everyone would be able to ride their bikes until the state races in July.
Club president Kip Furugen says that there will be another race on Kauai at the end of July after the state races on Oahu. Also, everyone should be ready for the state races that will commence here on Kauai on Labor Day weekend on August 30th.
