Yoshio Yanagawa of Kalaheo, died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on June 6, 2003 at the age of 82.
Born in Makaweli, on Aug. 3, 1920, he was an equipment operator with Kauai Commercial Co.
He is survived by wife, Midori; daughters, Duane Kawanishi of Hilo, and Vikki (Ronnie) Chun-Akana of Hilo; sisters, Ayame Taketa of Lawai and Kimie Yamagawa of Kalaheo; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service at 5 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Antone Martin Jr.
Antone M. Martin Jr. of Lawai, died at home on June 5, 2003, at the age of 74.
Born in Kalaheo on July 31, 1928, he was a machinist and welder with Kauai Pineapple Co. and retired Kauai Surf Hotel employee.
Preceded in death by parents, Antone Martin Dias and Trinidad Martin, he is survived by ex-wife, Sylvia M. Martin of Lawai; sons, Antone (Dawn) Martin III, Dean Roy (Pra Kong) Martin and David Jason Martin, all of Lawai; daughter, Cynthia Choch (Michael) Canne of Reno, Nev.; brother, Alfonso (Carol) Martin of Kalaheo; sisters, Alice Silva of Redding, Calif., Dolores (William) DeCosta of Makaweli and Maria-Janet (Jack) Randall of Honolulu; four grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and step-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, at his residence 3220 Wawae Road, Lawai; service to begin at 6 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.
