KALAHEO — The Lihue Breakaway pushed ahead early and then cruised to a 54-11 win over Wailua in boys 14 and under community basketball action on Friday night in Kalaheo.
Treston Rego scored 16 points for the Breakaway while John Beralas totaled five for Wailua.
In other action, the Westside Hornets beat the Kapaa Warriors 33-16 as Kimo Farias poured in seven points for the Hornets while Devin Saiki added nine for the Warriors.
In a girls 14 and under contest, the Westside Hornets I squad earned a 17-9 win over Wailua. Chayla Sherman scored four points for Westside.
Kennilyn Nakamura poured in seven points for Wailua.
