Each year the event has grown in numbers of competitors, events and fun. This year it looks like we can expect more of the same. Some of our new events include the “45 to 100 Masters” division in both short and long board categories and an “Open Drop Knee” in the body boarding category.
This year’s “One-man Canoe Race” will run from Kalapaki Bay to the Prince Kuhio Beach. We will also have some fun events for the little keiki on the beach.
The Kauai Surfing Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of fun ocean activities for people of all ages. Proceeds from this event are used to help the many amateur surfers and body boarders from Kauai with the expense of attending the Hawaii State Surfing Championship held each year on Oahu.
