The Tree Tunnel (Maluhia Road) is scheduled to be closed on Saturday, July 12 from 8 am until noon for a clean-up project sponsored by the Hyatt Regency Kauai, the Sheraton Kauai, the Koloa Community Association and the County of Kauai. Traffic will be routed up Omao Road during the clean up.
Volunteers are being invited to join-in for the clean-up day. Anyone interested should show up at the top of the tree tunnel at 8 a.m. Lunch is being provided by the Hyatt Regency Kauai and the Sheraton Kauai, and will be served to volunteers at noon at the Anne Knudsen Ball Park in Koloa. Please bring water and gloves and any tools you think might help, such as rakes, long shears, etc.
