Officials of the County of Kauai are sponsoring a job fair Wednesday, July 23, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lihu‘e Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.
The fair is for those who may be interested in working on one of the new cruise ships Norwegian Cruise Line plans to begin sailing interisland next year.
Available positions including entry-level crew, managers, food-and -beverage workers, medical-service staffers, and entertainers.
Those looking for jobs should bring résumés, and be prepared for brief interviews.
The event is being coordinated by WorkWise! Kauai’s One-Stop Job Center. Located at 3-3100 Kuhio Hwy. in Lihu‘e, the center provides job-seekers with job-search, placement, résumé and interviewing techniques and skills.
The center is open weekdays from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Norwegian Cruise Line has two ships joining its Hawai‘i service next year, Pride of America and Pride of Aloha, both designed to carry over 2,000 passengers and around 1,000 crew each.
