Erlinda Soriano
Erlinda Pitas Ruelos Soriano of Kaumakani, died at Queen’s Medical Center on July 7, 2003 at the age of 87.
Born in Ballesteros, Cagagan, PI on Aug. 30, 1915, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Nardo (Cora) Soriano of Oakland, CA. and Conrad (Dawn) Soriano of San Jose, CA.; four daughters, Sally (William A.) Renti Cruz of Kalaheo, Conchita (Bruce) Hallingstad of Minneapolis, MN., Lillian (Roger) Duncan of Panama City, FL. and Brenda Riola of San Francisco, CA; brother, Elpidio Ruelos of PI; sister, Enriqueta Pio of PI; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; one niece, Faye Domingo of Koloa.
Friends may visit with the family at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kaumakani; service officiated by Father Napoleon Andres will begin at 2:30 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Jesus N. Lim of Kalaheo, died at home on July 2, 2003 at the age of 67.
Born in Paniqui, Tarlac, PI on Apr. 25, 1939. He was a Landscaper with Aardcore Care Landscaping.
He is survived by wife, Manuela S.; five sons, Renato S. (Jelly Jane) Lim of Kalaheo, Juanito S. Lim of PI, Jesus S. Lim Jr. of PI, Edmundo S. (Liwliwa) Lim of PI and Rogelio S. (Analiza) Lim of Kalaheo; two daughters, Chona Nora L. (Cenon) Vite and Margaret S. (Florante) Lim both of PI; two brothers, Victorino Lim and Guillermo Lim both of PI; two sisters, Charing L. Chua and Pacita L. Pascua both of PI., 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 18, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; visitation also at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, with service to begin at 9:30 a.m. Followed by burial at Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Leonila Carlos
Leonila J. Carlos of Lihu‘e, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on July 3, 2003 at the age of 69.
Born in the Philippines on August 18, 1933, she was a janitor for Lihu‘e Airport.
She is survived by six children: Gil (Aleli L.L.) Carlos of Lihu‘e, Mary (William) Bran of Lihu‘e, Noel (Maribeth) Carlos of Lihu‘e, Bessie (Teresito) Fulgencio of San Diego, California, Jolly Carlos of Lihu‘e, Asprenio Carlos of Lihu‘e; sister, Rosita (Cornelio) Bacani of the Philippines; brother, Rogelio (Alicia) Juico of the Philippines, 11 grandchildren, numerous relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, July 20, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Julia Holden
Julia Kawailani Holden died on June 24, 2003 at the age of 75. Born in Kalihiwai Valley on November 27, 1927, she taught in schools in Columbus, Ohio, Los Angeles, and earned her Life Time California Teaching Credential. She additionally was a social worker in Michigan and California. In retirement she served as a docent at Iolani Palace where she have visitors explanatory tours of the palace and talks explaining its history, artifacts and vignettes of Hawaiian History.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Holden of Chico, California; son Keali‘i Holden of Kalihiwai; daughter, Wailani of Cheyenne, Wyoming, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family for a memorial service on Saturday, July 19, 4 p.m. at the Christ Church in Kilauea. Burial in the church yard cemetery near her father, mother, and grandparents.
