Auwe…Too many cars
Dear Friends and Gentle Readers
Without wishing to break any rice-bowls, although of course it would
have to happen, I congratulate Meph Wyeth on her letter and say that I have been thinking the same thing about “one car on – one car off”.
Perhaps the government folks might start thinking about a way to preserve some sanity in our traffic before we get to be like Maui, or
Honolulu, a shuddersome thought. Limiting the number of automobiles and encouraging bikeways is one way to slow things down. It’s really no use to think about improving and widening roads if the inflow of more automobiles continues.
Let us all pause for a moment and think back a few years and ask ourselves if we really like what is happening on Kauai?
Hey, what about a horse and buggy?
Thoughtfully yours,
Frances N. Frazier
