The presentation was given by Gary Shimabukuro of Laulima Pacific in Honolulu. Shimabu-kuro is considered an expert on drug abuse and its dangers in Hawai‘i.
Mayor Bryan Baptiste attended the gathering and thanked those in attendence for making the effort to become more educated on the war on drugs.
The mayor’s office, through the efforts of his anti-drug program leader Roy Nishida, is planning an additional meeting to accommodate those who could not attend the Wednesday night session.
