The Kaua‘i High Red Raiders girls volleyball team advanced to Friday’s elimination matches as the top seed in the Girls Volleyball High School Challenge at Kaua‘i High School.
The Red Raiders opened the tournament with a 4-0 record on Thursday and finished Friday’s second set of round-robin matches with one loss to earn the top seed.
Waimea also went 4-0 on Thursday but picked up two losses on Friday.
The Menehune took the second seed while Kapa‘a is the fourth seed in the elimination round of the tournament.
The tourney will continue today with semifinal and championship action. There will also be a banquet tonight at 7 p.m. at the War Memorial Convention Center where awards will be give out.
