John T. “Jack” Lansker of Kilauea, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on August 14, 2003 at the age of 51.
Born in Pittsburgh on January 27, 1952, Jack owned and operated Waiakalua Palm Nursery in Kilauea unit 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Lansker of Kilauea; sister, Louanne Cornwall of Maui; brother, Steve Lansker of LaJolla, CA; step-children, Kelsey Longley of Princeville, and Michele Longley of Hanalei; grandchildren, Sierra, Wailau, and Phoenix.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 6, 4 p.m. at Kalihiwai Beach. Bring a dish to share. Casual attire is suggested. Donations may be made in remembrance of Jack to the Selerodeema Foundation, 12 Kent Way #101, Byfield, MA 01922.

Jose Raposas
Jose Raposas of Omao, died at Straub Medical Clinic on August 16, 2003 at the age of 62.
Born in the Philippines on December 23, 1940, he was an estimator for Hale Kauai. He worked for Hale kauai for 28 years and retired in 2001.
He is survived by his parents: Cirilo and Rosalina Raposas; wife, Yon “Hannah” Raposas; son, Robert (Jeanne Cadawas) Raposas; two daughters, Teressa (Derwin Nohara) Iida, Shelley (Kamaka) Contrades, three brothers, Jerry Raposas, Lodring (Vivian) Raposas, Edwin (Aurora) Raposas, four sisters, Merlita (Alan) Honma of Alaska; Helen (David) Masuda, Josie Raposas, Adeline (Bruce) Walters of Alaska, grandchildren, Kainoa Raposas, Bryson Cadawas, Stetson Raposas, Sheena Raposas, Michael Iida, Mark Iida, Kyle Contrades, Kameron Contrades, Kyson Contrades; hanai grandchildren Davin Nohara and Michael Nohara;, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, August 27, 10 a.m. at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary. Also following services there will be visitation with the family from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Aloha attire is suggested.
