Rita Alayvilla Villon, of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, died at Kahului, Maui on Aug. 20, 2003 at the age of 87.
Born in Lapog Ilocos Sur, Philippines on May 19, 1916, she was a retired field laborer for Lihue Plantation.
Preceded in death by husband Pedro F. Villon, she is survived by three daughters, Anunciacion Martinez of Philippines, Julie (Larry) Bernades of Maui, Mercie (Randy) Streeter of California; four sons, Floresto Vic (Lagrimas) Villon of Lihu’e; Atelano (Rose) Villon of Korea; Jaime (Laverne) Villon Sr. of Hanama’ulu, Rudy Villon of Hanama’ulu; 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Sept. 5, at 4868 Laukona St. in Hanama’ulu from 6-9 p.m. Rosary at 8 p.m. and again on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Immaculate Conception Church from 8:30-9:45 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Pascual M. Martinez
Pascual M. Martinez, of Koloa, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 27, 2003, at the age of 80.
Born in Abra, Philippines on Dec. 25, 1922, he is survived by wife, Susana Farinas Martinez; two sons, Restituto Martinez of Abra, Philippines and Amor Martinez of Koloa, Kaua’i; five daughters, Constancia Guillermo of Hanapepe, Gliceria Martinez of Abra, Philippines, Corazon Martinez of Hanapepe; Nely Tolentino of Koloa and Mila Martinez of Ewa Beach, O’ahu; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Abet Viernes will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the rosary. Burial will be held at a later date in the Philippines. Casual attire is suggested.
