Kris Palagi, of Kapa‘a, sank a hole-in-one at Wailua Golf Course on Monday at the 173-yard, Par 3 No. 17 hole.
Palagi used a Palmer No. 5 club for the feat. This was Palagi’s first hole-in-one, and has been golfing for 12 years.
Aribon, Silva take R/C races
Consistent driving by Mackie Silva earned him the top slot of the Nitro Truck B class during the Garden Isle R/C races, Silva besting Roy Higa, Greg Paiste, Seth Morales, Chris Cardenas and Craig Arzadon in that division.
Reggie Aribon emerged from a close battle in the Nitro Truck A grouping over Wendell Esposo, Dennis Ginez and Rory Salvatore.
Ginez was named the top qualifier of the day.
