Ayonon helps Linfield to 5-0 soccer preseason
Colby Lopaka Ayonon, 20, a Kapa‘a High School graduate, is starting his junior year on the Linfield College Men’s Soccer team as a midfielder.
Ayonon, a 2-year letter winner, fired his second goal with one assist of the 2003 season to close the Linfield pre-season on a 5-0 note.
Majoring in physics and math, Ayonon finished the ‘02 season for Linfield in action for 12 matches as a reserve.
Ayonon left Kaua‘i a three-time KIF all-star selection winner as well as an all-state selection in his senior year with 15 goals being scored that year.
“Dreams and ambitions do come true,” is the message Ayonon would like to relay to soccer players on Kaua‘i.
Colby is the son of Bobby and Cyndi Ayonon.
