The Rev. Helena Corcoran and Wayne Santos are teaming up this weekend for a series of appearances at a worship conference at the Aloha Church in Lihu‘e.
The conference began yesterday, and will continue today at 7 p.m., and tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The church is located directly across Kaumuali‘i Highway from Taco Bell in Lihu‘e. All are welcome to attend. For more information, please call 241-7177.
Corcoran is a sought-after evangelist who untiringly speaks the word of God in humor and excitement, according to the Rev. Vill Galiza, Aloha Church pastor.
She takes advantage of her local way of speaking to bring truth to her audience, Galiza said. At this conference, she desires to pour the love and will of God into the many “thirsty” Catholic charismatic, Pentecostals and evangelicals, and to anyone else who wants more of God in their lives.
“This is the hour when the spirit’s power will move again; the hour of refreshment and restoration, when the new wine and the oil of anointing will be poured out,” she said.
Santos is a former Kaua‘i resident who moved to the Big Island a few years ago. He has the love to serve the Lord in praise and worship ministry, Galiza said.
God has graced him with a special ability to bring people to the “presence of God” through his singing, Galiza added.
He serves in Hilo at Glad Tidings Assembly, and recently traveled to Kaua‘i with his pastor, the Rev. Henry Kahalahili, as key guests for an annual worship conference.
Galiza and the ‘ohana of the Aloha Church welcome everyone, regardless of denominational background, to all or any of the sessions.
