Kenneth L. Blaeholder of Kalaheo died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Oct. 1, 2003 at the age of 71.
Born in Santa Monica, California on October 8, 1932, he was a self-employed Acoustical Contractor in California.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Blaeholder of Kalaheo; daughter, Vicki (Michael) Mitchell, of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; two sons, David (Debra) Blaeholder of Maui, Steven Blaeholder, of Thousand Oaks, California; guardianship, Denis Baldwin of Kalaheo; two sisters, Joyce (Jerry) Schlarbaum of La Habra, Calif., Shirley Finch of Burbank, Calif.; 8 grandchildren, Jenna, Andrea, Michelle, Stephanie, Nicole, Chris, Jonah and Jacob.
Private services will be held on Kauai and on Maui. Services will be held later in California.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Philomena Meatoga
Philomena Leialoha Meatoga of Kapa‘a died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Oct. 4, 2003 at the age of 69.
Born in Maui on August 23, 1934, she was a school teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Ko‘olauloa Meatoga; 12 children, Abel Kailiponi, Sheldean Cockett, Kelly Umiamaka, Vina Umiamaka Lee, Henry Kamaunu, Tracey Kamaunu, Thurston Kamaunu, Melody Kamaunu, Nobleen Kamaunu; Bruce, Debra and Brian Meatoga; five sisters, Gladys Grace, Bessie Thums, Betty Parker, Amy Cook, Darly Cockett; three brothers, Calvin Ontain, Edmond Puou and Johnson Puou, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Oct. 10 at Kapa‘a First Hawaiian Church from 9 – 9:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Catherine’s Church Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
