Phillip Lopez
Phillip Thomas Lopez of Long Beach California died at his home at the age of 65. Born in Makaweli on March 7, 1938.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marcellino Lopez; mother, Mary Pavao Medina; brother, Vincent Lopez Sr., and sister, Helen Lopez. He is survived by his step father, John Medina of Lawa‘i; brothers, Patrick (Sweetie) Lopez of Keapana, Ernest (Mildred) Silva Sr. o Kekaha, Alfred Lopez of Wailua Homesteads; sisters, Henrietta Boyton of Wailua Homesteads, Elizabeth (Wayne) Allianic of Lawa‘i, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Oct. 25, at St. Catherine’s Church from 10 a.m. with mass to follow at 11 a.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers to be omitted. Ashes will be scattered at a later date.
Charles Hachikubo
Charles Kiyoto Hachikubo of Kauai, died at Kuakini Medical Center on September 20, 2003 at the age of 96. Born in Hanama‘ulu on August 17, 1907.
He is survived by his sons, Roy Yoneji and Rodney Hachikubo; daughter, Florence Sato; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, Oct. 26, 11 a.m. at Kapa‘a Jodo Mission. Casual attire is suggested.

Jeremy Petterson
Jeremy Hawkins Petterson of Wailua, died at his residence on October 16, 2003 at the age of 55.
Born in Cape town, Republic of South Africa on September 2, 1948, he was the producer of the Ako Ay Filipino Show shown on public access television.
He is survived by son, Erik Petterson of Kamuela, Hawai‘i; daughter, Clare Petterson of Hilo, Hawai‘i; mother, Patricia Petterson of Johannesburg, South Africa; sister, Nadine Petterson of Johannesburg, South Africa; brother, Charles (Catherine) Petterson of Kona, Hawai‘i.
Services are pending.
