Raymond R. Galaza of Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i, died at home on Oct. 19, 2003 at the age of 72.
Born in ‘Ele‘ele, on Oct. 21, 1930, he was a retired maintenance operator with Lihue Garden Elderly. He was also a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by a sister, Rose Reyes of O‘ahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were private.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Simon Yesan
Simon Yesan of ‘Ele‘ele died Oct. 31, 2003, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 92.
A laborer, he was born Dec. 5 1910, in the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife: Fidela Yesan of ‘Ele‘ele; two daughters: Evelyn Frazer of California and Mila Stapol of ‘Ele‘ele; two sons: Romy Yesan of ‘Ele‘ele and Pascual Yesan of Hilo; and five grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
