Lihu’e — Hana Hou and Young Blood advanced in the double elimination playoff rounds Thursday night at the Isenberg Park with solid wins, Hana Hou soaring past Hard Knocks 17-2, and Young Blood surging past Ikaika 13-8.
Brenn Nakaahiki picked up the Hana Hou victory on the mound with just seven hits allowed on one strike out while Myles Aquino and Dave Onodera sharing duties for Hard Knocks in the loss.
Onodera allowed nine hits on two walks with Aquino being strapped for the loss with six hits allowed.
Don Ouderkirk’s single RBI on a single was the pivotal hit for Hana Hou while Todd Yamase led the winners with four RBIs on a pair of singles.
Nakaahiki drove in an RBI on a double, and Al Aranio had an RBI on three singles.
