Dr. Jeff Goodman’s days in Kilauea go back to the founding of the North Shore Clinic in the 1970s. He has served the North Shore community for years and has touched the life of just about every long-time resident of that district.
Dr. Goodman now is off on a new, and perhaps permanent, mission half a world away from Kaua‘i.
He has left the Kauai Medical Clinic to become a technical advisor with the International Medical Corps. This new position will likely take him back to Iraq and Afghanistan, two Middle East nations where he has already served.
While the people he is to aid are sure to benefit from his skill as a physician and administrator, the people of Kaua‘i will also miss a doctor who through two hurricanes and over 30 years provided excellent medical care to the North Shore.
