In an endorsement letter, Inouye wrote: “I am very pleased to know that you will be seeking reelection to your Kaua‘i senate seat next fall. You have done a fine job in fighting for Kaua‘i’s needs at the State Legislature. You are a passionate, hardworking advocate.” Inouye also said in the letter he is looking forward to campaigning with Hooser in the upcoming election.
Hooser, a former county councilman and Kapa‘a-based publisher, is in his first term in the Legislature. He defeated incumbant state Sen.
