The dirt road to Polihale has a few less holes, as the state and the Pacific Missile Range Facility joined up to fix holes in the notoriously bumpy haul cane road that connects Kaumuali’i Highway and Polihale State Park.
The work finished on November 21, said Agnes Tauyan, public affairs officer for Navy Region Hawai’i.
In all 550 tons of gravel, donated by the state, was used to repair the holes along the road.
PMRF construction personnel fixed the road as a training mission, said Tauyan.
