Albert Cummings, Sr.
Albert Cummings, Sr. of Kapa‘a, died Nov. 20, 2003, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 63.
Born Sept. 16, 1940, he was a custodian.
He is survived by his wife: Merlin T. Cummings of Kapa‘a;’ one son: Albert (Rene) Cummings, Jr. of Kapa‘a; one daughter: Sherry (Brian Jocobs) Willis of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother: Lester Cummings of Kapa‘a; two sisters: Jeanette (Jimmy) Delos Reyes of Honolulu and Marjorie Watanabe of Lahaina, Maui; and four grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, Nov. 30, at Kapaa First Hawaiian Church from 4 to 4:45 p.m. where memorial services will be celebrated at 5 p.m.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Minnie Nishida
Minnie Miyuki Nishida of Wailua Homesteads, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 25, 2003 at the age of 85.
Born in Paia, Maui, she is survived by three sons, James (A. Kimberlin Blackburn) Nishida, Jr., of Kapa‘a, Nelson (Ruth) Nishida of Las Vegas, Nev. and Lowell Nishida of Honolulu; daughter, Naomi Nishida of Kapa‘a; granddaughter, Aida Nishida; brother-in-law, George Nishida of Kapa‘a; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, at the Kapaa Jodo Mission; service officiated by Rev. Shoryu Akiya will begin at 4 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Louisa Ramos
Louisa Ancheta Ramos of Hanama‘ulu, died Nov. 24, 2003, in Honolulu, at the age of 73.
A homemaker, she was born Jan. 6, 1930, in Lihu‘e.
She is survived by three sons: Allan (Joni) Ramos of Lihu‘e, Patrick Ramos of O‘ahu, and Jimmy Ramos of O‘ahu; three daughters: Mary (Wayne) Hockensmith of Minnesota, Stella (Stanley) Viluan of Koloa. and Rose (Manuel) Goias of Hanama‘ulu; three brothers: Juan (Rehina) Ancheta of Lihu‘e, Pete (Joanne) Ancheta of O‘ahu, and Francisco (Kathy) Ancheta of Montreal; three sisters: Mary (Jesus) Canoy of O‘ahu, Dolores (Bob) Helser of O‘ahu, and Rosita (Ted) Fry of Colorado; 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Immaculate Conception Church from 9 to 10:45 a.m. where memorial services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Joe. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
