Consolacion Andres Fernandez
Consolacion Andres Fernandez, of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 14, 2003 at the age of 84. Born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on Dec. 16, 1919, she was a homemaker, a loving wife and mom.
She is survived by husband, Loreto C. Fernandez of Lihu’e; four sons, Ernesto (Lolita) Fernandez of Lihu’e, Rodrigo (Aurea Fe) Fernandez of Arizona, Gil (Alma) Fernandez of Puhi and Romeo (Mayrose) Fernandez of Puhi; three daughters, Godofreda (Benigno Sr.) Millo of Lihu’e, Jesusa Fernandez of Canada and Andrea (Simpliflor) Tomas of Lihu’e; 14 grandchildren; three brothers, Tony Andres of San Francisco, Calif., Florencio Andres and Vicente Andres, both of Honolulu.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; mass to begin at 11 a.m. followed by burial at Lihue Cemetery.

Arthur J. Dutra Sr. died Saturday Nov. 15, 2003 at home at the age of 69 with family members at his side.
He was born in Woods Hole, Mass. and lived in Falmouth, Mass. for most of his adult life. He owned and ran Falmouth Auto body for many years. He made numerous trips to Hawai’i before moving to Kaua’i in 1989, where he enjoyed his golf and met his wife of nine years.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Dorothy; five children, Linda Varao of Kapa’a, Arthur J. Dutra Jr. (Karen) of East Falmouth, Mass., Cynthia Cox (Joe) of Sault, Ste. Marie, Mich., Lelia DeMello (Manuel) of Woodland Park, Colo., and Jamey Rudenauer (John) of Falmouth, Mass.; nine grandchildren; and sisters Alfred (Nora) of Roseburg, Ore., Jean Bourgoin (Jerry) of Kapa’a, Hawai’i.
He was preceded in death by brothers Joseph, Roger, Cecelia Moniz of East Falmouth, Mass. and George (Cathy) of Coutit, Mass.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Claurito Kuaron
Caurito Kuaron, also known as “Bogoy & Hanalei” of Kekaha, died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on Nov. 17, 2003 at the age of 79.
Born in Kilauea, Kaua’i on May 10, 1924, he was a retired welder with Pacific Missile Range Facility and also a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by sisters, Consolacion “Connie” (Bob) Lowe of Kapa’a and Florence “Babe” (Pat) Acain of Waimea; nine nieces and 11 nephews; numerous grand nieces and grand nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery Pavilion; service officiated by Father Larry will begin at 10 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.
