Mary Salvador
Mary Cadavona Salvador of Kilauea passed away on Dec. 6, 2003 at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home in ‘Oma’o at the age of 90.
Born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Oct. 30, 1913, at the tender age of 12 she came to Hawai’i with her family.
She is survived by eldest sister, Leoncia, four daughters, Rosalina (Sam) Daoang of O’ahu, Leonora Ponting of Rowland Heights, Calif., Juanita (Mervin) Nunes of Whittier, Calif. and Stella (Scott) Greenleaf of Kapa’a; six sons, William (Jill) Salvador of Walnut, Calif., Benjamin (Irene) Salvador of Rosemont, Calif., Robert (Anita) Salvador of Ontario, Calif., Alberto (Linda) Salvador of Hanama’ulu, Wallace (Alexis) Salvador of O’ahu, and Nelson (Lynn) Salvador of Kilauea; 36 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Dec. 12, at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Kilauea from 8:30 a.m., service to follow at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kilauea Cemetery. Aloha attire is suggested.
