Kamehameha takes turkey
The Kamehameha Warriors nudged Punahou 1-0 in the championship game Saturday to take the title of the annual Waimea High School Thanksgiving Invitational Softball Tournament.
Waimea High School, the tournament host, finished in second place in the Blue Division with Kaua’i High School ending third in the Red Division.
Kapa’a High School finished the tournament in fifth place of the Green Division.

The Koloa Youth Baseball Association announces its Pitch T-Ball registration from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 2, 3 and 4, at the Koloa Ball Park.
Boys 6 to 10 years old in 2004 and girls 7 to 11 years old in 2004 are encouraged to participate.
Applicants need to bring a copy of their birth certificate, a copy of their medical insurance, and registration payment.
All forms and copies must be submitted and fees paid, before the child will be allowed to participate.
The first day of practice will be Monday, Dec. 8 at 4:30 p.m. Players need to have a cap, glove, shoes, baseball pants, jacket, cup/supporter for boys, and a bat if available.
