Felix “Da Cat” Campos
Felix “Da Cat” “Campy” Estigoy Campos of Lihu’e, died at his residence on Nov. 13, 2003 at the age of 78.
Born on March 18, 1925, he was a heavy equipment operator for the Hawaii Laborer Union.
He is survived by his wife, Rosaline Campos of Kahului, Maui; son, Glenn Campos of Waialua, O’ahu; three daughters, Sheila (Darryl) Lavarias of Waialua, O’ahu, Rosemarie “Loke” Campos of Wailua, Kaua’i; Cynthia (Joe) Campos of Waialua, O’ahu; three sisters, Dalmacia (Eugenio) Silbolboro, of Honolulu, O’ahu, Flora (Paul) Kahaunaele of Wailua; Rosenda (Estanislao) Ancheta of Kealia; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Dec. 5, from 11 a.m. to noon at Saint Catherine’s Catholic Church. Mass to begin at noon. A luncheon gathering will be held at Niumalu Pavilion following the service.
Jewell W. White
Jewell Womack White of Lihu’e, died Nov. 21, 2003, at Wilcox Hospital, at the age of 86.
Born in Washington, Okla., on April 26, 1917, she married Albert H. White in 1946 and they moved to California in 1949 where she lived until she moved to Kaua’i in 1995.
Preceded in death by her husband, Albert, she is survived by her daughter, Judy (Daniel) Querrey of Middletown Springs, Vt.; four grandchildren, Erin (Dwayne) Akau of Koloa; Robert Gannon of Middletown Springs, Vt.; Steven Querrey, Middletown Springs, Vt.; four great grandchildren, Makoa, Keola, Takara and Talia of Koloa, Kaua’i.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, Dec. 6 at Koloa Church, located at 3269 Koloa Road, from 9:30 a.m. where memorial services will be celebrated by Pastor Harold Kilborn. Casual attire is suggested.
Nora B. Valera
Nora B. Valera of Puhi, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Dec. 1, 2003 at the age of 39. Born in Philippines on Feb. 17, 1964, she was a sales representative with Koa Trading.
Preceded in death by her father, Galicano Balisacan, mother, Leonarda Balisacan, brother, Andres Balisacan and sister, Leoncia Balisacan. She is survived by her husband, Danny of Puhi; daughter, Nicole of Puhi; parents, Eduardo and Melchora Balisacan; five brothers, Roland (Ethel) Balisacan of ‘Ele’ele, Mamerto Balisacan of CA., Vicente Balisacan of Philippines and Roger Balisacan of Philippines; three sisters, Imelda (Rocky) Riopta of Kahului, Maui, Irene (Richard) Jardin of Nashville, Tenn., and Jennifer (Gerald) Elan of Lana’i City, Lana’i; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation also 8 to 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service at 9 a.m. Followed by burial at the Lihu’e Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Anthony “Antone” Balocan
Anthony P. “Antone” Balocan of Koloa died in Koke’e on Nov. 27, 2003 at the age of 45.
Born in Hawai’i on Sept. 17, 1958, he was an equipment operator for the County of Kaua’i at the Hanapepe Baseyard. He worked for the County of Kaua’i for 21 years.
He is survived by his wife, Laureen Naumu-Balocan of Koloa; parents, Ali Sr. and Corazon Balocan of Koloa; two brothers, Ali Balocan Jr., of Koloa, Alan (Dawn) Balocan, of Waimea; three sisters, Alicia (Stanley) Sarmiento of Kapa’a, Cora (Ted Gama) Balocan of Hanapepe, Gloria (Alan) Hiranaka of Kapa’a; parents-in-law, Harold and Amy Naumu of Lihu’e, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 8 to 10 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Church. Eulogies and sharing to begin at 10 a.m. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Nina Q. Fabro
Nina Quartero Fabro of Kapa’a, formerly of ‘Ele’ele, died on Nov. 17, 2003 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 78.
Affectionately known as “Auntie Nina” or “Grandma Nina” she was a homemaker and a member of Soka Gakkai International-Kaua’i Chapter.
The daughter of the late Andres Sr. and Sarah Kekai Quartero, she was born in Honoka’a, Hawai’i on April 5, 1925.
She is preceded in death by her husband Mauricio Fabro Sr., and brothers Albert Quartero and Andrews Quartero Jr. and sister Lillian Baltero.
She is survived by two sons, Mauricio “Bo” (Emily) Fabro, Jr., of Kapa’a and Melvin Damasco of Waimea; two daughters, Maurina (Larry) Borgatti of Kapa’a and Priscilla (Eddie) Posten-Banasihan of Kekaha; 13 grandchildren, Paula (Jerome) Dotimas, Andrea (Jason) Land, Christopher (Feve) Banasihan, Edward Banasihan Jr., Elisha Banasihan, Karmel Banasihan, Frederic Pancho, Jr., Cedric (Catleya) Pancho, Sherianne Pancho, Matthew Pancho, Mauricio Fabro III, Erin Fabro, Kisha (Keali’i) Aguiar, 12 great-grandchildren, Sharnell Dotimas, Isaiah Dotimas, Lacy Dotimas, Joshua Banasihan, Chelsie Banasihan, Ashley Kahalekai, Keisha Land, Cristel Banasihan, Isaac Banasihan, Shanice Banasihan, Kiara Banasihan, Pohakea Aguiar; one great-great granddaughter Tashiah Cabresa-Dotimas; three brothers, Alfred (Millie) Requilman of Arizona, John Requilman of O’ahu and Arnold (Charlene) Quartero of O’ahu; six sisters, Florence (Henry) Keliikoa of Hilo, Maraea Barrientos of Tennessee, Rosita Hatori of O’ahu, Sarah (Bill) Lennox of Ohio, Josephine Malanowski of California, and Frances (Robert) McGowan of O’ahu; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Hilario Baltero of the Big Island and one sister-in-law, Leonora Quartero of O’ahu, and numerous nieces and nephews.
