Ash-Lyn Lee ripped 20 of Kapa‘a’s 22 points in a losing effort as they fell to the Westside Hornets, 34-22, Christina Banach leading the Hornets with eight points as the county’s 12 Under girls basketball league continued play Saturday at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
In the day’s opener, Kira Nakamura and Kalia Boyser-Gomes each netted six points as Wailua topped Kilauea 20-16 behind the Nakamura showing, and Boyser-
Gomes leading the Kilauea movement.
Ma‘lika Napolean finished with ten points to lead the Lihu‘e Comets to a 35-10 win over the Lihu‘e Sparks who saw K. Cochiante and W. Borrero each finish
with four points.
