Melida Cadiz of Lihu‘e, died Feb. 15, 2004, at Wilcox Hospital.
A food service employee at Burger King in Lihu‘e, she was born July 6, 1945.
She is survived by her husband, Nemesio Cadiz; three daughters, Corazon (Daniel) Constantino; Hazelyn (Ricky) Cabungan, and Edith (Ronnie) Cadiente; two sons, Felix (Virginia) Cadiz and Jerry (Marinore) Cadiz; three brothers, Ernesto Cadiz, Ben Cadiz and Pedro Cadiz; three sisters, Letty Constantino, Tina Cadiz and Prescilla Arellano; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, March 5, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, March 6, at Borthwick Chapel from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Harry Hadama
Harry I. Hadama, of Koloa, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 19, 2004 at the age of 74.
Born in Koloa, Kaua‘i, on July 15, 1929, he was the proprietor of Hadama Service.
He is survived by wife, Satomi; son, Burt (Annette) Hadama of ‘Oma‘o; daughter, Lauren (Keith) Sugihara of Lihu‘e; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Clarke (Cely) Hadama; and sister, Jane Hadama.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Kukui‘ula Small Boat Harbor in Koloa; ashes will be scattered following the service. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Masami Murakami
Masami Murakami, 79 of Kapa‘a, died on Feb. 18, 2004 at Straub Clinic and Hospital.
Born on Kaua‘i, on June 8, 1924, he was a retired civil engineer for the State of Hawai‘i.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy K. Murakami of Kapa‘a; daughter, Ann Murakami of Los Angeles, Calif.; brother Henry (Rose) Murakami of Kailua; two sisters, Toshiko Tominaga of Kailua, Fumiko Yokota of Hilo.
Private services were held.
Arrangements are being handled by Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
Takeo Toguchi
Takeo Toguchi of Kapa‘a, died Feb. 19, 2004, at his home in Kapa‘a at the age of 86.
A maintenance worker for the State of Hawai‘i, he was born Aug. 25, 1917, in Koloa, Kaua‘i.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas T. Toguchi of San Antonio, James T. Toguchi of Kapa‘a; daughters, Marian (Horst) Blase of California and Merlin T. Cummings of Kapa‘a; one brother, Roy B. (Hilda) Toguchi of Honolulu; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Kapaa Jodo Mission Church at 2 p.m. Feb. 28.
The family requests that flowers be omited and suggests casual attire.
