The National Weather Service in Honolulu is forecasting partly sunny weather this weekend, with scattered showers and tradewinds. The trades are expected to shift to southeast winds by midweek.
The on and off rainy weather of the past few weeks is expected to continue into next week.
The weather service has a high surf advisory up for this morning with surf along north facing shores expected to be in the 10-foot to occasional 15-foot wave face size.
West facing shores are expected to have 12-foot surf.
The high surf is expected to decrease throughout today.
The weather service is warning beachgoers to stay out of the water on exposed beaches located on the North Shore and Westside and well away from the shore break due to the hazardous wave action and strong rip currents.
