Kaua’i Police Department detectives are asking for the Hawai’i community’s assistance in identifying a mystery woman referred to as “Ah Doe.”
“Ah,” as she prefers to be called, has spent the past two weeks in Mahelona Hospital after spending about six weeks at Queen’s Hospital, said Cyndi Mei Ozaki, county public information officer.
But before her trip to Queen’s Ah’s past is unknown.
According to KPD officials, Ah Doe was a homeless individual living at Ala Moana Park on O‘ahu. She was taken to Queen’s Hospital for medical attention, and subsequently sent to Mahelona Hospital.
She was sent to Kaua‘i, Ozaki said, to transfer her to a state facility and there was space at Mahelona.
KPD has no information on her age or where she came from. Ah Doe is 5’7″ and weighs 112 pounds, with hazel eyes and blond/gray hair. She is Caucasian, and appears to have a Canadian accent.
Various agencies on O‘ahu and Kaua‘i have been involved in this case, attempting to identify Ah Doe. Anyone having any information on the identity of Ah Doe is asked to called the Kaua‘i Police Department at 241-1696.
