Safety and Health Conference
Hawaii Office of Safety and Health (HIOSH) workshop will be held June 30. It’s sponsored by the Kaua`i Chamber of Commerce, OCET, RDP, and SBDC. OSHA wants to bring some of their training programs to Hawai`i, perhaps even opening up an education center. Although HIOSH has state resources for small businesses, an OSHA office would mean access to federal resources. The closest OSHA education center to Hawai`i is located in California at the U. Chamber Membership Meeting
The Chamber’s second quarter general membership meeting will be held June 29th at 5:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Kaua`i Resort. The event is sponsored by Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. and will feature keynote speaker Kelvin Taketa, President of the Hawai`i Community Foundation. Property Tax Forum
Real Property Tax Educational Forum will be held May 14 at 9:30 to 12 at the Aloha Beach Resort’s Ali‘i Room . The moderator Lowell Kalapa, President of the Tax Foundation of Hawai`i. See www.kauaichamber.org for details.
Identity Theft Workshop will be held June 2 at 3:30 pm to 6. The workshop will be facilitated by Mel Rapozo of M&P Legal Support Services, LLC. at the Aloha Beach Resort’s Pi‘ikoi Room.
Inaugural Golf Tournament
An inaugural gold tournament will be held July 18 at the Kaua‘i Lagoons’ Mokihana Course beginning 6:30 am. Register by June 18 and get one additional free super bonus Mulligan!
